The Phoenix Way - An interview with Richard E. Frye
In Phoenix, at the height of the summer of 2025, we held out our microphone to Dr. Richard Eugene Frye for a conversation at the crossroads of medicine and scientific research. Founder of the Autism Discovery and Treatment Foundation, this eminent physician-scientist offers an illuminating perspective on autism, its biological and environmental determinants, as well as on the many roles mitochondria play in cellular health.
Within the framework of the ANR MitoDanger project, he shares a vision grounded in deep respect for patient individuality, shaped by decades of research in pediatric neurology, while also discussing the recent publication of his book The Folate Fix, dedicated to the key role of folate metabolism in certain forms of autism.
